The club receives official confirmation from the Minas Gerais Football Federation and moves ahead with preparations for next season.
Araxá Esporte Clube received official confirmation from the Minas Gerais Football Federation (FMF) that the team is eligible to take part in the 2026 Second Division.
The decision was formalized in early April after the federation reviewed a request related to reducing a suspension that could have affected the club's participation this season. With the ruling, Ganso is allowed to join the competition council and continue its sporting planning.
In its response, the federation also reinforced that the club will not be able to compete in the under-15 and under-17 categories this season because the registration deadlines have already closed. The FMF also highlighted the importance of maintaining sporting and institutional commitments to avoid similar situations in future competitions.
Araxá Esporte's 2026 comeback is the result of several important factors: the strength of its history, supporter backing, administrative reorganization and the work led by the new SAF management.
With the situation regularized, the focus now turns to structuring the technical staff and building the squad that will aim to put Ganso back in a prominent position and fight for promotion to Módulo II of Minas Gerais football.
